Karolina Zimnicka

Karolina Zimnicka (b. 1982) is a sculptor and interdisciplinary artist based in Gdańsk, Poland.
Her artistic practice centers on ceramic sculpture, treating clay as a living, responsive material — one that carries memory, history, and symbolic meaning. By employing traditional firing methods such as raku and pit firing, she allows fire to act as an active collaborator, creating surfaces marked by cracks, textures, and earthy contrasts — material testimonies of transformation and process.
